General Assistance
Ushers
Every MLT production requires 4-6 ushers to assist patrons.
Time Required: 1/2 hr before show to 1/2 hour after show
Grounds
Lawn mowing, weeding, trimming, planting etc.
Time Required: 2-8 hours per month depending on project
Maintenance
Attend to plumbing, electrical and general building maintenance
Time Required: 2-8 hours per month depending on project
Production CrewSet Construction
Construct sets for shows
Time Required: One hour to all day, varied per show
Set Decoration/Painting
Painting, wallpapering, furniture covering, sewing, drapes, etc.
Time Required: Minimum 1 to 2 hours
Properties
Procure props for the performance.
Time Required: Several weeks of part time searching and organizing.
Stage Manager
Maintains prompt script (blocking, sound & light cues- note prop and costume changes) runs the show and calls the cues.
Time Required: 3-4 nights a week for approximately 5-6 weeks of rehearsals and 6 performances.
Lights
Helps designer set and gel lights. The use of a ladder required.
Time Required: An average of 8 hours over several days.
Light Board Operator
Runs light board during production.
Time Required: 8 rehearsals and 6 performances.
Sound Operator
Runs queued sound effects and microphones, if used.
Time Required: 8 rehearsals and 6 performances.
Crew
Make set changes during production.
Time Required: 8 rehearsals and 6 performances.
Costumes
Costumes Sew & fit costumes
Time Required: As much time as you can give.
